My stupidity is spreading.

I noticed a few websites recently referencing tweets I've made so I thought it would be fun to list them here. I'm not full of myself or anything, I'm not a big shot famous guy, it's just amusing.

  • I was mentioned on Cinemablend.com for my obsessive Twitter post about the NX and Nintendo's lack of an announcement. Link

  • I was mentioned on a blog here for a Twitter post I made about a Donald Trump quote Hillary Clinton's Twitter account was referencing. Link

  • A Twitter post I made about a viral image was mentioned on hellogiggles.com. Link

  • Yahoo.com wrote an article about the same viral image and they also mentioned my Twitter post about it. Link

  • esquire.com listed their favorite tweets in the #FeministAMovie and mine was right at the top. Link

  • In a techtimes.com article about the final Splatfest in the Wii U game Splatoon they listed a tweet I made about it. Link

  • Funnily enough, A joke I made about the NFL using the #GamerGate tag was listed on the NBC 5 page about a Football game. Link Dead

  • I got mentioned by CBS Pittsburg for a response I made to a Tweet from the Wyoming PD about drunk driving. Link

I just thought some of these were funny :D

Future plans for DavidGXtube / setup.

Last Updated: 11/19/2016

Hey folks. I thought I would give an outline of what I want to do and get for my YouTube channel in the not-too-distant future.

I'll update this post as things get bought/set up.

  • Better Lighting

Status: DONE! Better lighting provided via a couple of LED lamps. Thanks to Mint Plays!

  • Better Webcam Video Quality

Status: Ongoing. I have a Logitech C920 Webcam at the moment. Since I've recently started doing gameplay videos in 60fps, this would allow me to have my face cam footage at the same framerate. Also the quality would be ever so slightly better.

  • Green Screen for News Bit

Status: Not Yet. I figure I can probably get a good enough effect with just a green screen since I have decent lighting. As soon as I can get the money, this is a top priority.

  • System Upgrade

Status: Partial. I recently acquired 32GB of DDR3 RAM thanks to Mint Plays!. I still plan on upgrading my system to a DDR4/AMD "Zen" set up early 2017. At least now I have enough RAM to render videos and not have to close Chrome or risk losing work.

I'm definitely still looking forward to those new AMD chips. Having 8 high performance cores is going to be very nice for rendering and the silly way in which I record videos using two separate copies of OBS. (If you'd like me to do a video demonstrating that, let me know.)

  • Ask DavidGX Videos

Status: Too Soon? I'd like to do a regular, or perhaps semi-regular, "Ask DavidGX" where people submit questions and I answer them. I've put out a call for questions to my Ask.fm page but haven't gotten much response. Anonymous questions are enabled so if I get enough (maybe 10 answerable questions) I'll do a video answering them. This might just be a thing I have to wait to do until I have a larger audience.

  • Live Streams

Status: Not Yet. I'd like to do more live streams. But, again, this may be something I'm forced to wait on until I have a larger audience. I've messed around with streaming a little bit on my Twitch Channel and it's gone fairly well. I'm still not sure if I should primarily stream on YouTube or Twitch. I'm thinking Twitch since it's best not to have all your eggs in one basket. But this is something that will be decided once I have a bigger audience.

That's the list so far. Got any ideas for me? Anything I'm not doing that you'd like to see me do on YouTube? Let me know in a comment to this post, over at my YouTube Channel or on Twitter.

Looks like DavidGXtube is dead. I need help.

FINAL UPDATE: My appeal has succeeded and my YouTube channel has been 100% reinstated. Thanks to everyone who offered advice and kind words of encouragement.

UPDATE 1: I had appealed using the wrong email address originally. Apparently because of the Google+ integration my normal gmail address wasn't the correct one for my channel. I was helped by a fine fellow on reddit to find and send my appeal using the correct one. Now I'm waiting to see if that goes anywhere. Fingers crossed.

Original post below.

I'm sorry to say that it looks like my YouTube channel, DavidGXtube, is dead. At 3:01 AM CST I got this email.

This was IMMEDIATELY followed by another email letting me know the entire YouTube account was gone, still at 3:01 AM CST.

Even trying to sign on on YouTube just says my account has been permanently suspended. I took to the YouTube help forum to see if anyone there would have any ideas, ongoing thread can be viewed here.

One person speculated that it may be the two links I used below my videos. charity.DavidGX.com and stuff.DavidGX.com. The first links to the current charity I'm trying to help raise money for (legitimate) and the second is my Zazzle store where I have a few silly things I made for sale.
I'm not entirely convinced that's it though, as the king of YouTube himself, PewDiePie, uses many such links below his videos. Check the links below this video and see for yourself.

My best guess right now is that one of my videos made some people angry and they mass reported a bunch of them for spam. I'm not sure how to go about appealing this as I've already exhausted every avenue I'm aware of for doing so.

I've used this web form which was suggested to me by someone on Twitter. I've only gotten a couple of pre-typed responses back saying my account is active and I should make sure I'm using the right password. If you try to go there yourself you'll see this is clearly incorrect. I'm going to keep trying here as it's the best way, that I'm aware of, to contact them.

I've also tried contacting them on Twitter via these accounts @YouTube @YouTubeGaming @YTCreators @TeamYouTube no response there yet, although I can't say I was expecting anything from Twitter.

I've even tried emailing the CEO of YouTube susan AT google DOT com and the CEO of Google larry AT google DOT com but I can't say I'm expecting anything back from this effort, either.

So at this point I'm not sure what do. Keep tweeting at them? Try emailing them again and again? If you'd like to help me, Tweet at @YouTube @YouTubeGaming @YTCreators @TeamYouTube and ask them to unban the DavidGXtube YT channel. If you have any other ideas, please let me know in a comment on this post or on Twitter @DavidGX

You know what pisses me off? Cry bullies crying about Zelda.

I wanna address something. I've seen a NUMBER of these far left cry bully fuckwits bitching that Link is not female in the new Zelda game. This is not exactly a new thing but I'm seeing extra ridiculous things this time. I just saw a comment from a neogaf thread where someone said that Nintendo HATES women.

Are you insane? Are you genuinely fucked in the head? Is this really the company you want to be starting this shit with? Is it Nintendo? Honestly?

Let me tell you something about Nintendo in case you've conveniently forgotten. NINTENDO are the ones who practically INVENTED the bad ass female video game protagonist. Before Samus in the original Metroid game, that wasn't a thing. After Samus? It was a thing. EVERY great female game character that came after owes something to Samus and to Nintendo.

This is the company that has women, even Princess Peach, kicking actual ass in their Smash Bros series and racing right alongside the male characters in Mario Kart. This the company that features female characters front in center in the amazing Splatoon game and accompanying Amiibo. This is the company that SINGLE-HANDEDLY SAVED THE BAYONETTA SERIES, which features a very amazing female protagonist. Are you getting the picture yet?

Is this really the company you want to shit on over this? All because they wouldn't turn a male character into a female one just to appease your feelings? Let's be honest with each other, you don't REALLY give a shit about this, do you? No, of course not. You just want to look like a big white knight in shining armor in front of your lunatic acquaintances by pretending to care about this. Look at you, the big hero, fighting for women, going after a supposed EVIL COMPANY over some stupid made up bullshit.

I used the word ACQUAINTANCES not friends, because these people aren't your friends. These people hang around you for the same reason you hang around them. You all want to impress each other and feel good about yourselves by attacking anyone and anything that might make you seem for a brief moment like some kind of righteous gender warrior. These people will throw you under the bus, get in, drive over you and then back up to do it again if they thought it would gain them ANYTHING, even in the slightest degree.

Please take a step back and look at this situation from outside your circle of crazy people. And back the fuck off of Nintendo, they've done more for gaming and women in gaming than you could EVER hope to do.

You know what pisses me off? Bullshit about guns.

Hoo boy.

This is a hot topic so I thought I would weigh in. Everyone is talking about the shooting in Orlando and most of it is nonsense. Now, before I say anything, let me say that I'm NOT a right winger or Republican and I don't currently, as of writing this article, own any guns myself.

Whenever a tragedy happens, before the bodies are even cold, everyone has to jump in with their pet agenda. BAN ALL THE GUNS! BLAME WHITE MALES! IT'S THOSE VIOLENT VIDYA GAMES! Every single time. If you bring up radical terrorists or mental illness, you're labled as a bigot.

It's almost like these people are seriously working AGAINST humanity. They try and steer everyone way from actual issues and real solutions just so they can be heard saying something they think sounds good. All they care about is looking like they're so caring and tolerant and progressive.

Let me make this very clear. At least in America, you aren't going to ban all the guns, okay? You aren't. I don't care how much you want to or how much you think the country would be a paradise if you did. It's not going to happen. It's not reality and it's not realistic. Do you realize how many guns we have in the USA? Go Google it. Ask that question and see what answers you get.

There are more guns in the United States than there are people. How are you going to ban them? Magic wand? You gonna teleport them to your safe space with all your hair dye and coloring books? Do you even realize what would happen if the government actually tried to ban guns? You'd have a mob of thousands, perhaps hundreds of thousands of armed people march on DC and take it apart brick by brick.

Guns are part of our culture. It's part of the DNA of this country, it's in the constitution. My personal belief is that the world would be better without guns... but only SLIGHTLY better. I don't think it would be as good as many people might think. If you look at history you'll see that humanity had no trouble at all being shitty and comitting terrible acts before guns were invented. They only help... a little.

We need better early detection and treatment for mental health issues. We need to do a better job routing out radicals in religious groups and defeating organizations like ISIS that, in case you hadn't heard, called for attacks like this during Ramadan.

Listen, maybe you don't believe me after this rant, but I consider myself to be politically liberal. I just gave up on believing in gun control because it's complete fantasy. It's impossible to do and wouldn't do much good anyway. No political idealogy should come before the truth. And the truth is, we aren't going to ban all the guns so stop the bullshit and maybe push for some ACTUAL solutions.

Thanks for putting up with my little rant. What do you think about all this? Leave me a comment below.

Crab Battle Preparedness Kit.

As you probably already know, the threat of crab battle is an ever present shadow that hangs over us constantly. With the right tools, and a little luck, you may survive one should it ever occur. Here's what you need.

The Cheat Sheet

Keep this image handy at all times. I have it printed out and stuck on the wall right next to where I sit. I suggest you do the same, maybe print out a few extra copies to hand out to friends and family.

The Music

Keep this song handy, perhaps on your phone or other device that you can access quickly.

Orbital Strike

After you have the cheat sheet, the music and have studied it carefully and practiced the dance moves, it's time for the final step. After the crab(s) have been confused you must nuke the site of the crab battle from orbit. I suggest moving all of your friends, family, pets and possessions at least 200 miles from the site beforehand.

Hopefully this has helped you. Please share it with everyone you know so they might also be prepared if the worst were to happen.

Let's make a GOOD new Ghostbusters!

Okay, so the new Ghostbusters movie looks like a big bag of shit. Despite claims to the contrary by psychopathic children, it's NOT because of sexism. So, I thought I would come up with a better one. Let's do it.

First of all, we're counting the incredible 2009 video game as the third Ghostbusters movie, it's canon and the events of this new movie follow the events of the game. The Ghostbusters is now a nation-wide franchise. The old Ghostbusters have retired except for Winston who's now the president of Ghostbusters Inc.

The movie picks up in New York, where a new team of Ghostbusters have taken over the original fire station used in the previous movies. Here's my personal pick for the new cast...

Maria Bamford

Maria Bamford would play a slightly unstable psychic who can communicate with the dead but sometimes gets lost in it and briefly taken over by the spirit she's communicating with.

Adam Savage

Adam Savage plays the tinkerer, inventor, almost to obsession. A lot like his real life persona.
Jamie Foxx

Jamie Foxx is the scientist who often has to dumb down his explanations for the rest of the team.
Tig Notaro

Tig Notaro plays an enthusiastic new recruit who often gets asked to test new gadgets, sometimes to hilarious effect.

The plot would center around a villain who has studied necromancy and is opening portals to various realms inhabited by evil spirits in an attempt to become a god. The villain summons various ghosts, including past Ghostbusters villains, to thwart their attempts to stop him.

There's a scene in which the resurrected Marshmallow Man destroys the US Senate, causing a nearby crowd, previously terrified, to cheer and applaud before turning back to terror. Another scene in which the military allows the Ghostbusters to retrofit one or more tanks with their gear to fight the larger summoned creatures.

The final scene would involve a very large monstrosity, a twisted combination of many ghosts and monsters, being battled by HUNDREDS of Ghostbusters from various different franchise locations.

That's a very rushed version of the movie I might make. Thoughts? Leave a comment below.

News Bit - Behind The Scenes

So I've been doing these silly little videos called News Bit lately. I used to just write up little fake news posts and put them here on this blog, but no one reads this blog so I thought I should try YouTube. I did a couple where I just read the fake news headlines in front of this web cam but it didn't quite look right. I thought about doing a green screen set up but after asking a friend of mine about a program called Facerig I decided to go with that instead. Have a look at the newest News Bit and then I'll go into some more details about what I used to make it.

If you liked that, please share the video anywhere and everywhere you think there might be people who would like it. Twitter, Facebook, etc, etc. Also, please check out the charity link I put below the video. It's a good cause.

Here's what I use for my videos...

  • Audacity This is a free program that I recently started using for recording and editing the voice track for my videos. This allows me to do things like bass/treble enhancement and noise removal.
  • Facerig A program that allows you go map your face and head movements to a 3D (or even 2D) avatar. This is what I used for the "news man" and the desk.
  • Handbrake While Facerig outputs .webm files by default, Adobe Premiere won't take them, at least the version I have doesn't. I use this, which is both fast and free, to turn them into .mp4 files.
  • Video Blocks This is where I got the looping news studio background. This is an amazing place to get backgrounds, footage and more. Once purchased they can be used in any manner you see fit, including commercial use.
  • Gimp for Windows This is my image editor of choice. It's free and multiplatform.
  • Adobe Premiere While I use Adobe Premiere Portable 2015 as my preferred video editor, I plan on upgrading when I have the money.

Leave me a comment and let me know what you think. Check out my YouTube Channel for more videos like this, most of them much lower effort!

My "April Fools" videos.

Before April 1st rolled around, I decided to do a full play through of "Depression Quest" which is a free... let's call it text adventure... on Steam. It was made by Zoe Quinn (hoo boy) and is, at least in my opinion, exceptionally shit. I had only played a small amount before and decided to play through the entire game as sort of an April Fools thing. Here's my attempt:

As you can see, I didn't get very far. That's my honest reaction as I ALT+F4'd the game and noped the fuck out. Still, an okay April Fools thing. But, later, on April 1st, I decided to do an additional one. This time, a reaction to my play through attempt.

I think both videos are somewhat amusing. What do you think? Leave me a comment below.

Also, check out my YouTube channel where I regularly post game play and stupid stuff. If you liked the videos on this page, or anything on my YouTube channel, share it with anyone you think might also like it, that helps me a ton. Thanks!

Tips for getting sleep

DISCLAIMER: EVERYTHING HERE IS PRESENTED FOR INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY. YOU SHOULD ALWAYS CONSULT WITH AN ACTUAL DOCTOR BEFORE TAKING MEDICAL ADVICE FROM A JACKASS ON THE INTERNET. I'M NOT RESPONSIBLE IF YOU TAKE MY ADVICE AND HURT YOURSELF OR EAT A NEIGHBOR'S PET.

So over the course of the last few years, I've had difficulty sleeping. On two separate occasions I spent MULTIPLE DAYS in a row unable to sleep. Other times I simply don't sleep enough. Given my experience with sleep and trying to get sleep, I thought I would share some useful tips with anyone else out there who suffers from difficulty sleeping.

Melatonin

This is an over the counter herbal supplement that can help with sleep. Unlike some herbal supplements, this one is actually good and works. You should be able to find this in a drug store, supplement/vitamin specialty store or somewhere like a Wal-Mart.

Melatonin is a natural hormone that your body uses for sleep so this tends to be a gentle, safe option. I've had some success with this in the past. More info.

Exercise

If you can, get some exercise about a two or three hours before bedtime. This is a piece of advice I got from a family friend and has worked fairly well for me when insomnia hasn't been severe. If possible, go for a walk, run or use a treadmill.

Wear your brain out

This has been a pretty successful method that I use most nights. There are many ways you could accomplish this such as doing puzzles, math, playing strategic video games, but I prefer to play games in my head as I lay in bed.

Try this. You're going to work your way through the alphabet. Start at A, end at Z. Starting at A, think of as many things as you can that start with A. Maybe movie titles, actor/actress names, places, etc, that start with A. When you absolutely cannot thing of another, move to B and continue from there.

This is my favorite non-medication method of getting to sleep. Try it.

Seek medical assistance

If nothing else works, you should definitely ask a doctor or pharmacist. Insomnia can sometimes come from anxiety, depression or be caused by something else that you might not be aware of.

Did anything on this list work for you? Did I miss something? Leave a comment and let me know.

The balled of el conejo terrible.

There's a place that you should never go,
it's called Albuquerque, New Mexico.
They say a fearsome beast goes there...
...who?

Some say an old witch cast a spell,
some say he came straight up from hell,
it doesn't matter what they say,
as long as you keep yourself away from...

el conejo terrible

Like a banshee, growls and shrieks,
he tunnels through the city, tears up the streets,
buildings crumble, sidewalks break,
he leaves chaos and destruction, in his wake...

We wonder what his motives are,
the rabbit demon from afar,
does he really want us all to burn?
Or maybe he just took a wrong turn...?

The Real Fake News: 2/16/2016 Edition.

In our first story, Saudi Arabia announced they'll be completely halting the production of Pepes in a bid to make them rare again. People across the Internet have been enjoying a surplus lately that has driven the rareness down by record margins.

Touching on an issue that has stuck with him from childhood, Bernie Sanders announced in a speech that he'll make sure accused witches of Salem, Massachusetts get fair trials. Hillary Clinton released a statement thanking Bernie Sanders.

After the death of supreme court justice Antonin Scalia, Republicans are promising to block or delay any nomination made by Obama. Donald Trump promised to use his elite team of hired necromancers to reanimate and place Zombie Ronald Reagan on the supreme court.

Star Wars Episode VIII is reportedly already in production. "It's going to be like the Call of Duty of films" said a Disney spokesperson, "We'll have one a year until everyone hates it, then just keep going!"

Nichegamer broke the news that Dead or Alive Xtreme 3 will have pole dancing. "MY PTSD IS UNENDING" said local "social justice" quack. "I'M PTSDING ALL OVER MYSELF AND I CAN'T STOP!"

That's all for this edition. Have a good day everyone.

How about some fucking REALISM in politics?

One thing that bothers me a lot about politics is the pie-in-the-sky, unrealistic bullshit. Pointless, outrageous idealism. Let me give you two examples that will be sure to piss off ANYONE who reads this, no matter where they are on the poltical spectrum:

Abortion

Whether you think abortion is a valid option for women or an immoral abomination to the flying spaghetti monster, it's here to stay. Even if you somehow managed to make it illegal, it would simply be done in an unsafe, illegal way. You're not getting rid of this, so fucking deal with it and let's come up with some ACTUAL, REALISTIC solutions, okay?

There are several REAL ways you can severely cut down on the number of abortions, and yes, cutting down the numbers severely is the best you're going to be able to do, sorry. The first way would be ditching abstinence-only education. It's stupid and it doesn't work. Humans are humans. Humans are going to do what humans are going to do, understand? Abstinence can be taught but only as one valid option out of many, such as proper condom usage.

If you still insist that some mutant pillowcase in the sky is telling you different from what I've said here, then you're just dumb. Stop being so dumb.

Guns

Would the world be better without guns? Maybe. Would it be as good as most people think it would be? Probably not. Are we ever going to live in that world? Not in this lifetime. If you really think that you're going to disarm a country like the USA without a revolution then you're really, really stupid. That genie is out of the bottle. Go look up how many guns are in this country, go ahead, I'll wait.

...

A lot, right? Whether you think guns should be illegal or not, they aren't going to be. What we NEED to do is encourage GOOD people to own guns. We need to educate people from a young age about gun safety. We need to get better at identifying the kind of mental illnesses that would cause someone to go into a school and shoot it up. You know, tackle the ACTUAL cause of the problem. Crazy, right?

Persnally, I think that guns can only work well in one of two situations. Either everyone who's not insane owns and carries one, or no one owns one. If you really think the second scenario is more likely than the first, you might have one of those mental illnesses I mentioned. Get diagnosed. The only thing criminalizing guns will go is make it so that only criminals own guns. That's just reality. I didn't make things the way they are, I'm just telling you. Don't shoot the messenger.

The Real Fake News: 1/31/16 Edition.

Welcome to The Real Fake News with DavidGX.

In our top story, YouTube talentless assholes celebrities "The Fine Bros" have gained the ire of the Internet for attempting to copyright any kind of "reaction" video. "It's all about community" they said, while punching a baby square in the jaw.

In a related story, The Fine Bros announced a lawsuit attempting to collect a sum of fifty million US dollars from the estate of the late Sir Isaac Newton for his third law, which states "For every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction." This will be the first time, if successful, anyone has won a lawsuit against physics. "It's all about community" said The Fine Bros, while kicking a puppy.

In a poll, most voters agreed that Donald Trump won the last Republican debate, in which he didn't attend. In other news, I won the Olympics. All of them. I'm also Miss America BECAUSE FUCK YOU I'M BEAUTIFUL!

Donald Trump lashed out at his Republican rival Ted Cruz for insinuating that he supports universal healthcare. "A vote for Donald Trump is a vote for Obamacare" said Ted Cruz. "Ted Cruz is a butt and has a butt for a face" Donald Trump said in a press release.

This just in, The Fine Bros have announced that being "triggered" is a form of reaction and that they have plans to sue tumblr for eleventy-billion dollars.

That's all for this week. Have a good one folks.

My How To videos.

I've not done a tremendous amount with my YouTube channel, although I plan to in the future. Most of it has been gaming stuff, although there have been a few how-to videos. I think they're actually semi-useful so I'm going to post the three I've done so far right here. Check 'em out.

How To make a gnat trap.

The Real Fake News: 01/25/16 Edition.

Welcome to the Real Fake News. We'll start with a letter from the editor:

"If you're reading this, I've been locked in a warehouse and am being forced to help edit shitty fake news stories. Please tell my wife, Samantha, that she was always a bitch."

Real funny, Tom. Now, for our stories...

Gas prices continue to plummet forcing oil rich nations to get creative. They're now offering a buy one get one free barrel deal along with a toy. The king of Saudi Arabia was quoted to say "We have Mario Karts, all. Peach kart, Luigi Kart, all."

A vicious snow storm continues to wrack the east coast. Donald Trump promised to "deport all snow back to Hoth" if elected president.

A 7.1 magnitude earthquake struck near Anchorage Alaska early Sunday morning. A massive amount of snow was ejected into the air and is expected to land on all the other snow on the east coast.

Four of Twitter's top executives recently left the company. They were in charge of the company's current money making strategy. They announced a new plan to "Sell snow cones on the east coast. It's a brilliant idea, they'll love it!"

Local fake news man gets reprimand over terrible running gag about snow on the east coast. Wait a second, GOD DAMNIT TOM! I'M DONE. SEE YOU NEXT WEEK!

The Real Fake News: 1/19/2016

Recently, the Democratic party held its final debate. Miraculously, Bernie Sanders survived until the end in what experts suspect is black magic. O'Malley was given a total of 30 seconds to speak, setting a new record for him in debates. It's estimated that as many as a dozen people now know where he stands on the issues.

A bill banning child marriage was struck down in Pakistan. It was deemed "un-Islamic" as was the previous anti-goat marriage bill. Law makers cited Sharia law and stated that they should be able to marry kids of either species.

Sarah Palin recently endorsed Donald Trump for president, securing the idiot quitter vote for Trump. "I really wish she hadn't." Donald Trump responded

In the world of finance, Twitter is almost out of finance. "Our finance is almost gone." the CEO of Twitter as its' stock fell another 50 points. "What we need," he said "is a lot more. Finance."

The US government announced a plan to attach the world's largest drill bit to the remaining Twitter stock in hopes of drilling deeper than anyone ever has into the earth's crust. "We hope to discover crab people." Obama said. Trump put out a press release in response promising to "deport any discovered crab-like people back to Mexico." if elected.

That's all for this edition of The Real Fake News. Have a good week everybody.

The Real Fake News: 1/11/2016.

Welcome to another edition of The Real Fake News with DavidGX. Today is Monday, January 11th 2016.

Our top story, the ForeverSpin was found to not, in fact, spin forever. Although it looks pretty damn cool.

In the world of Video Games, Bowser issued a statement saying that the massive influx of Italians into the Koopa Kingdom has has less than desirable results. Italians, not understanding the cultural values and laws of Koopa Kingdom have taken to kidnapping princesses from castles. Goomba squads have been dispatched to subdue the attackers but are not having much success so far.

From the Internet, people have issued a petition to Barack Obama requesting that Nero be verified on Twitter. Apparently this is a thing that he needs to look at. In related news, I've sent pictures of my dog to NASA with a note attached, asking them to verify that she's a good girl.

In politics, Sean Wever of BroTeamPill announced today that he'll be running for president of the United States. He promised to "make America not too bad again." When informed that only natural born citizens can be president in the USA, he responded "gay?" and went to play video games.

In Fashion news, L'Oreal today announced a line of beard shampoos targeted at male feminists. It promises to add volume, bounce and reduce split ends. The slogan "Maybe he's born with it? Maybe it's male privilege." was seen in the first TV ad.

And finally, in celebrity news, sadly David Bowie has passed away after recently launching his latest album. In related news, the latest Tupac album is about to drop, with one of the songs dedicated to the passing of David Bowie. No one knows how.

That's all for the news, have a good one.

Top 5 things I'm looking forward to in 2016.

This year has some good stuff, unfortunately I'm not very good at waiting. Here's a list of 5 things I'm hyped for in 2016.

1. Nintendo NX Reveal

Nintendo has said on at least a couple of occasions that we'll be hearing about the NX this year. That means, most likely, at E3 2016 in June. While the Wii U has a library of excellent exclusives, it hasn't exactly been a smash hit. It's BECAUSE of the overall failure of the Wii U that I'm even more excited for the NX, however. I think the lessons they've learned will make their future endeavors even better. Let's hope they've learned those lessons.

2. New AMD Hardware

I used mostly AMD hardware until the launch of the "Bulldozer" FX 8150 CPU. That CPU, as you might know, was fairly garbage compared to whatever Intel was offering at the time. I overclocked the hell out of mine but the performance just wasn't there. When I got my Intel Core I7 3770k, it was around 30% at stock than my 8150 was overclocked. Pathetic. I'm still using AMD graphics cards, two 7970s in Crossfire, but those are due for an upgrade. Considering Intel's "we're going to give money to liars and scam artists" policy as of late (at least partially funding Feminist Frequency) I'm ready to be done with Intel and go back to AMD.

Sometime this year, AMD is supposed to launch new graphics cards and CPUs that are actually good. I plan on upgrading and getting something like 32GB or more of DDR4 to go with it. Should be nice.

3. Zelda Wii U

A brand new Zelda game for Wii U is supposed to launch sometime this year and I hyped as fuck. I'm a huge Zelda fan and the new one is looking amazing so far. I hope we see a lot more of this one very soon.

4. Shantae 1/2 Genie Hero

I'm a huge fan of the Shantae series so of course I'm excited for Shantae 1/2 Genie Hero. I got in on the Kickstarter for it and thus already have my copy (PC version) paid for. Supposedly launching sometime this year.

5. Yooka-Laylee

Most people didn't seem to enjoy Banjo Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts nearly as much as I did. I loved that game, but that doesn't mean I'm not looking forward to a spiritual successor to Banjo Kazooie that's in the original style. Yooka-Laylee looks and sounds amazing so far. It's being handled by some of the original people from Rare who worked on Banjo Kazooie so I have high hopes for this game.

That's my list. What are you looking forward to in 2016? Let me know in the comments section below.

The Real Fake News: 1/3/2016.

Internet

Feminist and alleged game developer Brianna Wu put out an "open letter to Gamergate" today asking to be left alone. She then went to a GamerGate meet up wearing her "I HATE GAMERGATE" t-shirt and read this letter aloud while punching a Vivian James cosplayer in the face.

Politics

In an interview with Fox News Donald Trump said the N word twice. He's now polling 2 points higher. Bernie Sanders went on CNN to remind everyone that he's still alive.

Opinion

Cats are pretty cool. Cheese is delicious. "Ohio" is a weird name for a state. Who came up with that?

Entertainment

Footage of Quentin Tarantino's funeral leaked today, Quentin Tarantino put out a statement saying "They're fucking TIME TRAVELERS or some shit. I give up. Fuck this"

World

Osama Bin Laden was spotted today, apparently having risen from the dead... wait, no, sorry. I'm being told this is footage from another unreleased Tarantino film.

Technology

Scientists in London today announced that they've figured out how to get the spray cheese back in the can. Their method involves the LHC (Large Hadron Collider) and has been deemed "impractical, dangerous and just plain silly" by experts.

My personal game of the year for 2015: Undertale.

Now that it's CURRENT YEAR 2016, I thought I would talk briefly about my choice for favorite game of 2015. If you had asked me a week ago what my GOTY for 2015 was, I'd have told you it was Bloodborne. That would have been 100% true. I just completed the game for the second time. It's not true anymore.

Undertale is a game that lots of people like to discuss to the point of obsession. It seems like one of those quirky, overhyped games that doesn't turn out to be nearly as impressive as you've heard from the rabid fan base. It's not technically impressive, it's not even artistically great. Of course, art is subjective but that's just my opinion. It doesn't have online play or a 80+ hour run time or a budget of 100 buttzillion dollars. After having played through the game twice, I think the praise is well earned.

What Undertale does have is great characters and a hell of a lot of heart. I'm not usually the kind of person to care about that kind of thing. I like Bloodborne. I like Fallout 4. I like Cities Skylines. I don't usually play games for "feels" but I definitely got it from Undertale. I'm sitting here at almost 2 am with dried tears on my face. I just finished Undertale for the second time in order to get the true pacifist ending. After this I had originally planned on going through the game again to do a "genocide run" where you kill everyone. I definitely won't be doing that anymore. I can't.

I genuinely care about Undertale. I care about the characters and am happy to have had the opportunity to play through such a charming, unique game that gave me feelings that video games rarely are able to do. I'll never forget Undertale and I hope you decide give it a chance. I think you might love it as much as I do.
